Providence Consultancy

CGFNS and CAP NZ Assistance

If you are an international registered nurse who is looking to move into a new horizon, we can assist you with CGFNS (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) verification that will help take your career to another level.

Here are the things to keep in mind before heading for verification:

  • As a part of your registration, you may be required to complete a CAP (Competence Assessment Programme) test, which will carefully evaluate your nursing strengths and prepare you for the nuances of the NZ medical system.
  • The Nursing Council of New Zealand only accepts two English eligibility examinations for internationally qualified nurses: IELTS (International English Language Testing System) and OET (Occupational English Test).
  • All aspirants are expected to have qualifications from institutes recognised by the Nursing Council of NZ as well as at least 2 years of experience working in registered nurse roles or other nursing sectors.
  • Relevant education qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.
  • All internationally qualified nurses applying for registration with the Nursing Council of NZ are expected to have a valid registration certificate issued by their regional nursing body.
